There Is No Selective Inclusivity, We Must #SeeALL

At ANA AIMM, we proudly stand behind our unwavering belief that every person — regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, religion, age, or culture — should have equal rights, equal representation, opportunities, support, understanding, respect, consideration, voice, and the ability to achieve their full potential. As we reflect on the challenging events of the past few years — the murder of George Floyd, an increase in anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, an escalation of hate against AAPI people and Hispanic immigrants, the pandemic that killed millions, with a disproportionate impact on Hispanic and Black communities — we cannot help but be inspired by the unity we have demonstrated as a society in the face of adversity.

We believe that our past efforts give us the fortitude we need to stand against the protests of the last few weeks. We believe we have the responsibility to stand up for what is right and for those who are being wronged — especially when they are being singled out simply because of their gender, identity, disability, culture, religion, age, or race. We come together because we have witnessed the power of our collective voices. Today, we once again have the opportunity to stand together as an ALLIANCE for the importance of equity in our industry — to speak to the need for diversity in our country. We have the opportunity to stand for the need to #SeeALL.

We have indeed effected change, but we still have a long way to go before we end racism, gain equity in our industry and in our society, and educate our consumers and citizens at large about the benefits and beauty of living in a country full of diverse voices. We recognize that our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging must extend beyond our companies. It requires all of us to come together and commit to creating a world in which everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. It means recognizing the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our lives, and working to create policies and structures that promote these values.

By prioritizing diverse voices and committing to eradicating racism and violence, we believe we can create a more inclusive and equitable society. By fostering education and understanding, we are determined to build a more empathetic country, able to understand that patriotism is at its best when diversity is appreciated, highlighted, respected, and included in the fiber of who we are.

We encourage the marketing and advertising industry to join us in our commitment to actively work toward eradicating racism and violence against all people. Together, we can make a difference and create a future where we truly hear, respect, and #SeeALL.
